		<description>Braided line is more commonly used in saltwater because of it&#039;s strength.  The fraying problem can be remedied by using fishing rods with roller guides rather than eyes.</description>

		<description>Salt or fresh water does not deteriorate braided line, however, constant use does. I went to braided line several years ago because of its awesome test strength as compared to its diameter. What I found out is that with use (even with what I consider normal use) it tends to fray, thereby greatly compromising its strength integrity. Hope that helps.</description>
