General Fishing Question?

I have a reel that can hold 310 m of 40lb mono , if i was to put 40 lb braid on it how much line would it fit?

    It would hold about the same. Most braid has a smaller diameter than mono. I have a reel that holds 150yards (I don’t know the conversion) and I have 125 yards of 35lb braid on it and could probably hold a little more. To save $ on braid put a mono backing then your braid. No sense in spooling your reel with expensive braid that will never see the water.

    it would hold about 3 times more braid then mono
    so 930m of 40lb braid
    maybe a little less than 930
