that connects to the line and the cast , do you super glue it together or what?

This is what i do i take a piece of the backing or something similar if you can do the nail knot than this is a better way you work the loop on your fly line by inching it up until it can’t go on any father than when you reach this point take your backing piece and do the nail knot and before you will tighten it you move the nail knot up close to the top of the braided loop than you tighten it make sure the knot is uniform on top and bottom when tightening it and for extra security you can repeat the process and add another nail knotted portion just below the first one instead of using super glue after you complete these knots or knot if you choose to do just one use a sealant like aqua seal or some other silicone sealant like goop use just enough to cover the nail knotted part or parts if you do two of them i say aqua seal or something like it because super glue can ruin your fly line it makes it brittle and easy to break after.
i always use the braided leader. you feed the line in to one end with a loop for your line on the other. it acts like a chinese finger trap but a drop of super glue wont hurt. make sure the line end has the sleeve covering it as this can cause tangles when casting if the freyed ends are expose. also make sure you use floating sinking ETC with the appropriate lines. another hint, get a bright orange or yellow one which is easy to see as these can double up as a strike indicator. i would how ever avoid ones that have a strike indicator built in as these can ruin your cast.
Push the end of your fly line into the unlooped end of the braided leader , optional dab of super glue then push the little sleeve that is supplied with the leader over the join . Super glue not necessary as the braid works on the sock Principal ( try pulling your sock of from the toe ,the rest of it tightens around your foot )
Yes use a little dot of super glue. When you insert the fly line it should pull tight and you should have a little tube that goes over the braided leader this will cover the join and where you use the super glue.
