Looking For A Nice Casting Fishing Rod.?

7

Hey guys!
I decided to get a Shimano Curado 200DHSV. Looked at it in the store today and I really liked it. Plus the nice rebate makes it even more enticing!
I haven’t ordered it yet and will order it online later today or tomorrow…
I am trying to find a nice rod for the reel that is under $100.
I will use the setup for bass fishing and inshore flats fishing. Any suggestions?
Also can you suggest a quality braided line (and line weight) that would be optimal for my setup?

Raise you spending allotment on that rod you want and look at Falcon Rods either the Original, Low Rider or the Cara in a 6′ -6″ MH.

Falcons are good rods with good sensitivity, Bass Pro Shop sells them as well.http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores…
You have a real good reel, no sense and skimping on your rod and miss out on all that reel is capable of.
    Tight Lines and good fishing.
You got some time before spring to save some more money in order to get a better rod than what you will get for under $100.
For braided line I would go with Power Pro, the best of the braided lines in my opinion.

a good rod for that reel is a shakespear ugly stick, also on the question of braided line, i dont use it because it can wear through the ceramic eye holes on the rod and then it will cut any line that you put on the rod

Shakespeare Ugly Stik Lite 6′6 medium action.
My favourite braided line is Spiderwire Stealth. For your setup I’d go 30 – 50lb. Reason I like the Stealth is it’s more durable than others and doesn’t fade as much.

I have used several types of braided line and am not a Berkley fan but their Power Pro line is hard to beat. It lays flat, doesn’t dig in like others do and cuts through the weeds like a knife. Because of its smaller diameter I can use 50# test. I like the Lexus rods at Academy but am also impressed with the Ugly Sticks. Good luck.

I love my allstar rods! i have four of them for casting and cost about 150 each with a life time warranty I also like the castaway rods.

i agree with the ugly stik. you could even buy two in that price range. they are so nice. they have poles made special puropose then buy some braided line.

both, have a good selection of rods, under $ 100.00
for braided line, i have found that power pro, doesn’t eat up the guides, like some other braids do.
for spinning, i use either 15 or 20 # line
    for casting, i use 50#.
    good luck
