What Is The Best Lb Test For Sufix Braided Line?
I’m fishing for largemouth bass I was wondering if 65 lb Sufix braided line was to much and what mono line it was compared to (in thickness)

Sufix Superbraid is available in 60# test 0.34 dia. about the same as 14# mono.
Heavy line such as this is very good when fishing grass, reeds, pads, moss, stickups, most all heavy cover. It has the ability to “saw through” tough weeds without critically weakening the line.
There are lots of other benefits to braid but I suppose you know them.
Braided line does have its applications. It’s perfect for flipping and pitching. You will be grateful for its pure strength when it comes time to start horsing hawgs out of some truly nasty cover. You can rest assure that the chances of this line being abraded from structure contact, provided you are not fishing razor blade plants, is absolutely minimal. Aside from the ultra-heavy cover aspect, chances are the 65 lb briad can take care of business. The only problem is what do you do if you get snagged, and there is no possible way to unsnag the lure, and you must break-off the line. 65lb braid will be extremely hard to break-off. I usually go with 30lb Sufix braid, and find it to be just as difficult to break-off when needed. But it is a very strong line even at 30lb test.
It would be comparable to 14# test Mono of most other companies.
Have fun and tight lines!
It all depends on what application you are using the line for. If you are dropshotting, yes, 65lb line is too much. If you plan on flippin’ or pitchin’ into heavy cover, that stdrength of line is fine. You’ll need it to be that strong to horse ol’ bucketmouth out.
