   I have different rods and reels depending on target species. I fish mainly for walleye, but have 5 or 6 different rods just for them. Winter fishing requires a bit more touchy feely setup than spring and summer.
   I have about the same amount for Musky. Then theres the trolling rods, planer, and dipsey rods. Im not one to really look at price. When it comes to hunting or fishing if I want it, or need it. I buy it. My favorite setup is new. Its a med fast action 6′2″ G Loomis 1 piece rod, with a shimano stella reel I think its a 2500 series not sure. I use 10# braid on that rod. I bought that setup this spring to replace an older Lews rod that got broke after fighting a big flathead cat I snagged. I mainly use this rod to fish the Ohio River in the winter for walleye, saugeye, and sauger. I dont remember what the setup cost but it wasnt cheap I assure you……

   - Penn International rod one piece stand up – $299.00
   Shimano Tiagra TI reel 80wa – $860.00
   Tricolor 120lb test – $100.00 spooled on reel 800 yds
   Yes I do use it and this is one of my 8 set-ups which I saved up for over the course of a few years, I go offshore fishing and love it also I have the right tackle
