whats used for what? i’m new to fishing so anything would help.

I recently bought some Stren yellow braid line with a 8lb test and a diameter equal to that of a 3lb mono test, and I fish mostly at a local marina and rivers. Will the yellow color of the line spoke the fish in clear water,has anyone had any experience using colored braided line?

ive watched people fish on tv and ive seen some people use 6 pound test to catch a 2 pound fish and ive seen people use 20 pound test fishing line to catch a 2 pound fish. and what does braided floresence and sensation and all of those have to do with anything and what are they and which is the best to use in saltwater?
