Ok here is the deal, I go fishing about two times a month with my dad. We stay at a campground just above ocean isle beach and launch his boat into the intercoastal waterway to. In reality all we are doing is going on a boat ride because we hardly ever catch anything. I’m not really looking for any specific type of fish however I would like information from anyone that has any type of help to offer. We usually fish the area between holden beach and the ocean isle bridge. I would like to know what kind of rig(weight size, hook type and size also) to use, what type of bait, for different fish. I feel like I’ve wasted my money I recently bought about 150$$$ worth of tackle included all of the following:
8lb power_pro braided line
20lb Seaguar flourocarbon leader
an inshore soft plastics kit from bass pro
a speck trout and redfish soft plasics kit
and a d.o.a. shrimp soft plastics kit with dvd

I am going to martham pits (maybe you know it)
Well i have a:
Carp rod with 2.5 test curve
Real with 15LB line
ready made hair rig (size 6 hook 12LB sink braid)
Surface carper float
Size 12 carp pellet hooks
12MM pellets Pre drilled
red boilies
1MM lead clip rigs
2lb weight
What sort of rig can u make with this you don’t have to use it all this rig is for a starter carper
I can’t see the fish cares whats attached to the hook piercing it’s lip. Surely a mono line can do just as much damage to the fish as a braid line.
For those who have fished on a fishing boat, what are of the tools to help catch the fish and to lure them?
ive been fishing for 2 years now and have never caught a blimin fish! please tell me where i can be sure to catch something!!!!
I am going to Gulf Shores, AL, for a week beginning this Saturday and plan on fishing off a inflatable rubber raft 50 – 100 yards off the shore. What baits/lures should I use? What kind of fish can I catch? What time of day is best/worst for fishing? Any tips would be helpful.
